Mechanism of Action
> Faropenem exhibits bactericidal activity by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis via inhibition of (Pencillin Binding Protein) PBPs & also Inhibits the cross-linking of peptidoglycan or transpeptidation, which further induces an antibacterial effect.

Dosage & Administration:
> 15mg/kg/day divided in three doses as 5mg/kg/dose.
> For multidrug-resistant S. Pneumoniae: ≥15mg/kg of body weight/day administered in divided doses
